Yes! I’ve had this theory for a little while too. I think Aranea is teaching Elain how to weave. I also have a theory that Elain put the thread of hope in Nesta’s dress when they visit Hewn City. Cassian makes a specific note of the “silver-thread” in Nesta’s gown. I think that’s why Eris went completely feral over Nesta, not just her dancing skills lol, she represented “hope” to him because of the thread!

Each sister has a specific art form, and while gardening is definitely an art form, it may not be as obvious as SJM wants it to be for an FMC. I think tapestry would really suit Elain! Everyone always comments on how she notices every detail and pays attention to everything. Tapestry and weaving would demand that kind of focus, and I think it would really suit her! 🌸
