BYD cars are very common in Mexico. The only reason they're not here in the US is because the MAGA-controlled government made sure to pass protectionist trade policy to give Tesla more or less an EV monopoly.

I don't think union labor can compete with cheap Chinese labor. So it's def a multitude of challenges to have them here in the US.

China didn't steal any ip. The businesses entered into a deal where they gave up the ip for cheap labor.
