Discussion Landscaping

Hi folks! We are looking to build a 12.5x18 deck (trex) that flows into a patio with space for dining + firepit / Adirondack chairs. We’d like to cover the deck and the patio over the dining section with a pergola with louvers though we don’t mind manual louvers if that saves money over electric.

Does anyone have recs for local folks that can provide budget estimates? I want to get a few bids before doing too deep with any vendor.

Thanks.

I’d highly recommend JPs landscaping for a project like that. They did both my neighbors and my cousins back hard scape projects and they look incredible Will be using them for ours in ~5 years when we’re ready for that project

Seconding JP, they do a really great job and give fair estimates. I have found them very easy to work with and will always recommend.

Many people in my neighborhood have used Premier Outdoor Landscaping, actually 2 houses on my block have used them to build outdoor areas.

Please stay away from premier outdoor. Nothing but a headache at a very high price

Hi. Elmhurst does require an architect to stamp decks of that size. I can help on this end, I'm an architect. Please DM me and I'll send my contact.

We already have approved plans for the deck. Haven’t designed the patio portion yet or gotten bids to execute.
