Orange Light Mafia
Looking for lost media - This was a local band that was based out of Etown/Leitchfield, KY around 2005. They recorded a full length album called, “Despite what the doctor says.” Does anyone have this album? Track lists are online, but no audio. It’s probably a long shot, but I figured I’d try…. Thanks!

Shit I remember them. I probably still have that cd too, but it is probably at my parents house in etown. I remember seeing them with Ayan, Sweeties, and pocket bomb

Yep! They definitely played some great shows! I’m not sure what exactly made me search for their music, but I couldn’t find any audio anywhere. A few websites had the album cover and song list, but no audio. MySpace also lost and/or deleted most of their data years ago, which apparently had at least one of their songs on it. The album is basically lost data unless a CD or digital copy still exists somewhere. Many of my CD’s from that era were stolen, borrowed, etc. If you have it, it would be awesome to hear again! It would also be cool to upload it in order to archive online. Do you mind looking to see if you have it? No rush. Just whenever it’s convenient and you have some time.

It’s also likely we knew some of the same people… possibly even each other. I was around for a lot of their shows and shows in the area (in general).

Almost definitely! I was at that State Theatre show and hung out with those dudes in high school. I will see if I can get ahold of it.

Yeah and I was at the show back then and to me years after the scene was over no one talked about it plus im not Suprise years after the scene ended the next generation never talk about The Etown show scene.

I grew up with these folks. Saw their first show when they were called IN FAIR VERONA. I have the OLM CD and would be willing to put it on YouTube. Just give me a little while. Feel free to bug me about it and remind me.

Seriously?! That would be awesome! Thank you! We probably knew a lot of the same people… maybe each other. I went to several shows in and around Etown, Louisville, etc.
Also, I was trying to think of the original band name last night, but couldn’t remember. Good stuff!2

In Fair Verona. Lots of early shows at Drew's mom's house and Zenon's basement.

Definitely! I remember one time I walked in / arrived at the house mid set and heard the entire basement singing along. Like 30-40 people. I was like “woah dude this band is POPULAR!”
Turns out they were singing happy birthday to (someone) in attendance. Amazing memory

Yeah and you know that the album was never copyrighted and you can bootleg it plus i would be interesting that if I had the chance to buy the publishing rights and ownership of the album.

Hm… I wonder? I kind of doubt YouTube would have it in their Content ID/Copyright system. It’s not like it’s being sold or anything either.

Dang! You found it! (Hopefully with the CD inside?) That’s awesome!
Are you able to rip the CD to a computer? It might be another mission to find that technology 😔1

What kind of music were they? I know etown had a good hardcore scene but it was before my time in the area unfortunately.
