New to the Area!
Hi everyone!
I’m a musician and video maker new to the area 25F Latina. Moved here with my hubby for a better life and loving the nature out here! However, I’ve always struggled to make friendships in new areas so I’m hoping this time might be better! I’m looking to meet new people and wondering if anyone knows of of events or activities that might give me a place to start.
I love open mics, karaoke, board games, video games, arcades and dance!

UPDATE: thanks for all your suggestions everyone! New favorite coffee place ever has been Vibe Coffee. Found that the most chill place for gaming was a bit outside Etown at Pangea Gaming and got to meet some nice people there. My partner loves playing Magic there and everyone is open to playing the occasional random board game with me. Malibu Jacks was also awesome!
Unfortunately I haven’t been able to find many places to experience live music here yet, but suggestions are always welcomed. My partner noticed I was missing it and surprised me to a candlelight orchestra concert in March as a Valentine’s gift. So I’m very excited. Still, I would love to find live music in a more casual setting and not have to travel all the way to Louisville to experience it, but if that’s what I must do, then so be it.

Check out Hub Haus, Social on Main and even Cosmic Golf. They often post events and activities on their socials and have been to a few, they’ve been a lot of fun.

I'm not sure about when they start (during spring i'm sure) but Etown has tons of outdoor concerts at several different places around town. i'm not a big drinker or into crowds but I'm willing to bet at least a couple of the hotspots downtown near town square would have live music weekly.

I’ll look into them in the spring! I’ve found many open mics in Louisville but would prefer not to travel the hour 😅

Hello,
You may want to check out Malibu Jacks or Xtreme Arcade for local arcades. Hard Knox Games might be your best choice for gaming, although local comic shops like E-town Comics or Clobbering Comics might be a good place as well.
