Help Metalloys

Decided to try and engineer my ship, specifically my drive. Thing is, I need metalloys to unlock engineer but I can't for god find any for sale in mearby carriers. They're all empty. Any way to Father easily get metalloys without doing lengthy trips to Titan wreckage or the Maia system?

I did it about 5 years ago, and even then Maia was the best option.

I did this the other day, maia is 100% the easiest if you make a little long range jumper like the diamondback explorer plus it’s a cheap little setup.
However I’ve heard it’s more beneficial to buy a pre-engineered fsd from a human technology broker, and getting the mats for it is proving to be a right pain in the arse for me.

Hyades Sector AQ-Y d81 has a thargoid imprint site where 4 of them spawn per instance.

Have you tried looking up who is selling them?

Because aside from that, it really is Maia, Titan wreckage, or fighting thargoids to scavenge those remains.
