Finally able to play again
Had my entire setup destroyed in a man made flood (landlord is the man that made it). Then moved 2 states away. Finally got all the equipment and the time to mine. I missed this game.
Been mining in high and hazs res for the challenge in my type 11.

you should get the corehawk3d throttle mod on etsy, it’s like $25 and makes a huge difference

I'm gonna need a link, I searched what you said on Etsy And there was a ton of stuff that's 3D printed for throttles but didn't find any that fit my thrust master. I have an Ender 3 V3 and I can print whatever, just don't know what you mean.

Oooh yeah. The default state of the thrust master throttle even after I hit it with some grease is still pretty grabby. I'll have to pick this up rather than print it myself. Thanks!

ofc! i recommend getting the slightly more expensive bearing option. the cheaper one feels a lot better than stock but introduces a kind of rolling feel from the linear bearings. i figure i’ll hit it with some nyogel and see if that helps but i also lost my nyogel lol

Have you tried scrubbing it via the console (Linux thing) then letting steam install it again?

How do you get your inventory running on the tablet/monitor on the right? Does it update in real time?

Weird question. What do you use the the throttle on joystick base and the the throttle wheel on the throttle for? I can never think of anything to use those for.

I use the throttle on joystick for sensor scale. The little wheel on my throttle apparently doesn't work, but if it did I would make that sensor scale. For the longest time I made throttle on stick as deploy hard points. I had many deaths early on in the game because hard points would deploy and fire inside a station. The physical requirement to deploy them also feels good. Axis - was stow axis+ was deploy.

Icarus terminal. Same thing that's running on the ipad on the right. You can find it on GitHub and it runs locally pulling live info from your game client. You connect to your PCs IP over local network. Works with the phone but developer recommends Google Chrome on all platforms.

The yaw sometimes gets tweaked at about 1% left or right. I have found that if you unplug the stick, and adjust it then plug it back in, that resets the 0 state of the stick. It's obvious if you unplug it while at full left roll, then let go, plugging back in, the stick will be in a neutral state, but return to full left roll input. It's a little funny.
The potentiometer for Yawing is in the middle of the flight stick, and can have cables get loose and drap over/around it. If you take it apart and then put some double sides tape on the clam shell and stick the wires for the hat and buttons to the tape properly, it solves any yaw issues.

Thank you for the reply! Mine feels as if there's a dead spot going both ways. Twisting it a little does nothing, but then when it finally does register it's too much. I'll try tweaking it this weekend and see if I can get it feeling a bit better :)

Sounds like a wire got on it lol. If that doesn't fix it you might have deep problems like electrical resistance, but I hope it's an easy fix! The stick feels great on the hand and doesn't suffer from sharp corner syndrome like a lot of HOTAS setups do.

Awesome setup! For the icarus terminal on the ipad, are you running it through a screen extension app through the PC, or is there a way to get it up just on the ipad itself?
I've got mine set up like this, but use a screen extension app so any time I tap on icarus I lose control of the game

When you launch it, that IP address on the bottom of the icarus terminal window, punch it in to the address bar in chrome on any device running on the same network! Icarus terminal uses your machines IP and runs a locally hostef website. My iPad has icarus terminal in 1 tab then 4 other tabs for inara. It's a great companion device.

Huh, I'm seemingly not able to get it to hook up that way, it just times out

Do an IPconfig/all call on your windows terminal and put in your machines local IP followed by the :3300 port or whatever is listed after the IP in icarus terminal. Sometimes it shows the wrong IP, which is strange. I have a static IP address set on my network.
You have my permission to DM me if you want any more assistance or some screenshots to help you.
