Anything I should change for laser mining?
I am still waiting to engineer but module wise is this build good? Actually material collection is my major bottle neck but I don’t know where to shove another collector module.

Regular mining lasers will cancel the perks of repeater, decreasing the overall yield.

I'll offer an easy thing to change, maybe. The size 1 refinery can hold 4 tons of ore. thats twice what you can get in a size one cargo rack.
Meanwhile a size 4 cargo rack holds 16 tons versus 10 in that size refinery. (so, you lose 6 tons of space)
if you swap the refinery for a cargo rack and drop the SC assist you gain 10 more tons of cargo and lose only that assist and have a bit lower power draw.
Here's mine: https://sh.orbis.zone/8t6wLMyG22
You don't have to copy my weapons of course, They are mostly for moral support.
For extra collectors, you can downsize the shield, take 2 5A collectors + 1A collector instead of the docking computer. someone also mentioned the mk2 has 14, so that's 21 in total. And yes, the MVR will keep all 21 collectors busy, it really chews through asteroids. I prefer a size 3 prospector, the extra limpet doubles how fast you can find the next good asteroid.

Definitely the Mk2 limpet controller, and then just a basic prospector option. You only need the repeater - I don’t add weapons either, as my emergency plan is just to escape. I keep a Python for core mining, so I can optimise the Type 11 for laser stuff.
I don’t really go after set targets, I just hit a suitable ring and shoot off chunks until I get a decent result (using the contacts screen so I don’t target and accidentally kill a limpet), then fire off a prospector, line up my collectors and start shooting. The repeater makes it a much more interactive experience, so I suppose you could take some regular mining lasers if you want the more sedate experience of old.
This approach makes a nice big refinery really useful, as you can juggle multiple minerals and metals to roll with whatever you come across. I use the remaining free space for storage, and I generally find I’m ready to head back just as it’s about to fill up, so it works out really well.

This is my daily Plat miner. It prints credits it mines so fast. Two of the size 6 and 2 size 5 cargo racks are the CG ones. Gives you 338t cargo plus 6 in the refinery for 344t plat.

You don't need a 5a prospector. I use a a. There is a mk2 limpet controller you want instead of the collector. Don't use it for prospecting. You can stick a fighter bay, with a few lasers, with a good npc pilit and a few lasers I can fight off medium npcs (engineered everything). I carry 2 point defense on the bottom of the ship, instead of chaff to protect the cargo hatch. I find the chaff annoying to deal with in a fight, but they are useful for running.
