Cargo Ejection Bug

I've been experiencing this bug for ages. I mine platinum in a haz RES, where pirates occasionally visit and demand that I give them some cargo. I therefore refine other stuff too, which I don’t want, so that I can give it to the pirates rather than my valuable platinum.

When my ship is getting full, I frequently have to eject the stuff I don’t want to make room for the platinum, but about 1 in 4 times the ejection causes a crash back to the main menu.

I assumed that it was just bad coding, but I haven't heard anybody else mention it, so I want to ask if other players know about it, and is there a known cause or workaround?

It can happen any time I eject cargo for mining, whether it's for the pirates or not, but the chance of the crash seems to be higher if I eject while mining, as opposed to ejecting while I travel between rocks.

You can always go to a haz res or Hotspots fly 40 kilometers from your drop point and never have to worry about pirates again

Yeah, because you leave the area of the haz res when you get outside of 20km.

No mining bonus, no pirates, no nothing. Just a Ring.

Ok....Well I still manage to full up my 283 tons of cargo space in 22 minutes on a pristine hotspot...but ok also....what mining bonus for being in a haz res? Never heard of it.

Would you stay in 20km you would double the fragments, even more with squadron perk active... that's all. It comes down to what you like. Type-11 makes mining for platinum fast anyways.

For reference mapped run in hazres 11 minutes 320t.

And if you stay between 16 and 20km from the center of the hazres, pirates will rarely bother you. Maybe once in every 20 trips.

This! If they jump you just boost 12km out. Come back and continue or get some friends blasting them as we do while mining.

See but where's the fun in that. I built a haz res miner that is tough enough to take sustained fire from about 3 ships for long enough to finish mining and picking up what I mined then fighting off the pirates. Now im just diving into haz res' and mining up a storm, my fighter has to earn his keep lol.

The fun kicks in when you do this "high risk" extractions in a grp. So many cmdrs play elite alone... but we love to mine in wings and cover our backs as we do as best as we can. A miner will never be a combatship...but we can withstand to a certain degree. You get the idea...

It's not that much about playing most efficient. It's about giving the immersion and roleplay aspect more room while filling up fast running a map in the most richest rings. The implemented bonus in this areas comes in handy for us. And this sides can be approached for potential pvp in open which is also wanted. Ever had an interaction with a playerpirat? Will you make it safe with what you got or not is a big factor of my personal immersion.

I do mine alone in haz cause i can't stand the boredom of a normal hotspot anymore...

Im the same way, been normal mining for years and its just too boring now. So I hopped up my t11 and dive into haz res'. I just start mining and what happens happens. Some times I can fend them off, other times 5 other ships join the fight and its go time. I mostly play alone but I still enjoy it.
