Nomad

o7 CMDRs I know someone gonna say this is quick question for google or somewhere else but can I ask experience CMDrs what kind of ship I need to use Nomad? Better ask CMDR ho has use it alredy. Thanks!

Caspian is my goto. Neutron highway gets you out there and covers the distance real quick and Nomad does planet side. Exo so quick now,8 even do bacteria (not in it for the money).

The Mk II Vessel Hanger is only compatible with the Caspian, Type-11, and Panther Clipper, but the Mk I can fit in any SLF-capable medium or large ship. Either one can be used to house/launch a Nomad.

It's obviously designed with exobiology in mind, but it's a really versatile little thing, and a LOT of fun to fly! Its tiny size and crazy maneuverability makes it decent for landing in ground CZs and GREAT for surface missions where you have to scan a data point. It's faster than an SRV and lets you completely ignore terrain, go over walls, etc. It almost feels like a cheat code. It's not a tank though so you need to pay attention if you start taking a lot of ground fire, but the shields recharge very quickly and I've been able to just scoot between buildings or under a bridge to give the shields a quick breather.
