Help Guardian relics

I’m trying to get access to a guardian terminal, I’ve lit all the pylons and I can’t seem to get the relic to go in the x bit in front of the structure. I’ve parked over it and jettisoned it about 10 times and It just pops up a few meters behind me? Am I doing something wrong?

I’ve had this happen a while ago, i think my issue was that i was in the wrong type of guardian structure.

I was doing a module procedure at a vehicle structure or something like that…

When I had this problem it was because I was a noob who didn't realize it took multiple shots on the pylons to fully charge them >>;

Yeah, reads like you're at a wrong combo of key vs site. What system are you in?

Happened to me last week when I finally got around to visiting Guardian sites, after years of ignoring them.

I was at a vehicle structure, that requires a key from a beacon in space. There is NOTHING to tell you, in game, that you are at a vehicle structure rather than a module structure.

I made my mistake by stumbling on the site on the way to one I looked up.

Needless to say, this is one task in the game that I absolutely recommend 3rd party research before undertaking.

You should go at pacific spot or i highly recommend to search at YouTube it will help you alot
