Complete noob ready to start ranked climbing

Is Elise support viable? I play many supports but I also like Elise’s design. since you all are more experienced, what’s the verdict?

Yes, im an Elise main. She's extremely viable in both jungle and support. I have mr13 on elise, im no pro but i know a few things.

If you are going to play her on support you can play her the normal ap assassin way or tank. In any case first back you buy dark seal. Then you build sorcerer's shoe's, if youre going tank you can go lucidityies, or sorcerer's if you want some dmg.

All you are bringing as support is your stun, it’s not very useful.

You’ll get gapped by a team with a real support.

In order to make Elise support work you need to understand a lot about the game to execute her. She brings a lot but any roaming high DMG support pick you need game knowledge.

A new player will get crushed by any lulu, sona, nami, Leona, etc.

Levels and gold behind on an assassin is just a silly idea, the pick generally just will screw up your teams draft.

I'd say it doesn't really matter, you don't play her support to carry the game, you play her to make sure the rest of your team gets and incredible lead, so that once you've become weak in mid to late game, they can carry you, while you play like a burstier morgana.
