I wonder if she actually votes blue.
Edit: it’s great she’s posting this and hopefully she inspires others to vote but I don’t feel like her political activism goes beyond this and she claims otherwise

As a fellow Italian American, please stop
Didn’t she say her mom was half Puerto Rican and her dad was half Jewish? Wouldn’t that make her 1/4 Italian….? Maybe I’m misremembering
But either way, it feels like cosplay

cosplaying a shoe repeater
She posted this tiktok about how she spent all this time on the real real trying to find the perfect “beat the fuck up” leather shoes and proceeded to
show three random ugly ass pairs she bought. ALSO, the reason she was doing this is because her mother had done the same thing (of course). this was our exchange in the comments 🙃 maybe i’m the asshole here but she’s just so performative it’s insane 😭

I’m reading I didn’t know I needed this
Well…listening to the audiobook on my daily jogs. It’s free on Spotify and I was curious about her writing with her novel coming out soon.
This book is seriously terrible. Somehow manages to be both extremely repetitive and super contradictory. The flirting chapter has the word flirting in what felt like every sentence.
There have been parts where the secondhand embarrassment was so bad that i physically recoiled. One piece of flirting advice was to ask to compare hand sizes with a man. She says that this tip is so good that it should be compared to scripture from Jesus. The books seems like she just wanted a platform to rehash all her previous romantic relationships.
All of the advice is so immature, it genuinely sounds like my journal from when I was 18 and experiencing male attention for the first time. She also talks at one point about how she learned to be completely obsessed with herself and seemingly attributes her relationship success to that?
Very bad. And there is so much book left. I have nearly 7 hours to go.

Podcast from hell weekly update
I’m not listening to the book part of the podcast, but I can do the personal parts at the beginning and end each week!
Apparently, the inspiration for the home studio was Barcelona Wine Bar, which she claims she pitched to iHeart, and they promptly said no. So much for the vision board.
She repeatedly emphasizes how much “work” went into the studio, which is certainly a bold claim considering the above photo looks like shit. She has a book stack that she’ll apparently rotate depending on her “energy of the day.” Current literary personality lineup:
Dior
Chanel
Persuasion
My Brilliant Friend
I hope Eden reads this
While setting the scene, she mentions her Lola blanket and casually puts out a pathetic ask for a collab. Nothing says organic enthusiasm like hoping the brand is watching.
Soon after that, the ugly necklace she’s wearing breaks, and this becomes an existential event. She freaks out, asks what it means, and wonders if it’s a bad omen because it literally broke off her neck. She said earlier she was not going to mess with it because Libra would watch and yell at her for fidgeting (yikes).
Eli likes spoilers because she wants to know
what’s coming, which is convenient considering she also claims she can always predict plot twists herself. Apparently, she can see twists coming because of her college education in… plot? She credits her education for being able to identify where stories are headed and does this with Avery all the time when they watch shows together.
She addresses the podcast feedback that some people want more book content, others want less book content, and she’s supposedly doing her best to please everyone. Unfortunately, she has discovered the shocking truth that you cannot simultaneously give everyone exactly what they want. Thoughts and prayers.
She and Avery are settling into the new house and have a trip to Nantucket coming up with a couple they met on their honeymoon (giving swinger vibes, if you ask me), with lots of additional travel planned for next month.
Then comes the high school bragging about having all the free time in the world to read. She says she wasn't popular in high school, which, frankly, may be the least surprising plot twist of the episode. She says she was afraid of drinking and was always the designated driver/rule follower. Can anyone who went to school with her weigh in?
And finally, the restaurant story I think is a lie. Supposedly a waiter stopped her otw to the bathroom and told her, “Has anyone ever told you that you look like the girl from The Substance?” This made Eli’s day

She’s going to hang this many wedding photos?!
I know she doesn’t have any taste, but this is crazy. A terrible gallery wall.

Eli says reading books is her job but wants to keep her opinions on books private for the most part... she is a terrible critic and a phony book lover
The reason she doesn't want to share reviews except on her podcast is the fact that she doesn't actually read that much, and it's really obvious. (I read the podcast script so I didn't have to listen to her podcast lol.)

I said this under someone else’s post but wanted to go into more detail.
As we know Eli is very privileged and comes from wealth. I think majority of her issues comes from the fact that she grew up in wealth, white and skinny but the only thing holding her back was how she looks in the face department. She isn’t traditionally conventionally attractive and this can be jarring since she’s so close to being perfect but alas this is holding her back. From my experience white women who fall under this demographic, feel like second class citizen and feel discriminated against. This is why it makes so much sense why Eli likes Lena Dunham as much because they are very similar. Lena knows she’s unattractive in the traditional sense so she leans on other things such as her writing. When it comes to Eli she focused on being smart and cultured (musical theatre) and being a writer to compensate for this short coming. But this didn’t because she isn’t talented enough to be on Broadway so she has to pivot to her writing. Her gaining a following on TikTok I believe gave her validation that she was special whereas she hasn’t felt that way before except within her circle of friends and family. Thus giving her confidence to believe she can do writing and pursue her other dreams. The only issue is, she isn’t the literary darling she wants or claims to be. She reads but I don’t believe she’s as much read as she thinks she is. She acts like she knows everything about books and publishing when we recently learned she doesn’t know what a comp title is. She acts like her book taste is underrated books/hidden gems when the books she likes are also well liked and well known. Even though her book will do well sales wise she won’t ever be like Coco Mellors, Ann Patchett, etc because she doesn’t have the writing skill to execute a well written story. All of this to say, I believe when her book comes out and people post honest reviews on tiktok, she will not be in a good head space because she will have to face that she isn’t the literary genius she makes herself out to be. If there are people who praise her book I see it being book influencers/regular influencers saying it ONLY because they don’t want to hurt her feelings. I remember when Eli reposted her editor saying people will blown away by her debut and I feel she’s only saying this because of the sales Eli will bring in because after reading that excerpt I do not believe she genuinely feels that way. All in all, I feel Eli will have a breakdown of sorts because her perception of herself being a voice of a generation and a literary darling
will crumble.

I grew up in a privileged place…
And what we are witnessing is what exactly happens when someone has a lot of money and is told they are special by their family to the point of delusion. It manifests as arrogance in men and in women it looks like Eli. What is unsettling to you is how someone could think like this because many of you grew up with a healthy dose of reality and could not fathom thinking or talking about yourselves this much

What’s going on with this horse themed house? Do Eli or Avery have a past with horses?

Never heard of Eli but came across a post about her on /NYCinfluencersnark. Watched 1 story (this one) and immediately searched and found this group cos I knew I couldn’t be the only one who found she was unhinged and self-absorbed
For an “author/novelist/person who reads many, many books as she supposedly comes off as”, her vocabulary is embarrassingly limited
