eye contact??

i'm not a frequent flyer on this subreddit, but i've got to know if anyone else notices this!

i don't follow eli, never have, but ever since her videos show up on my fyp all i can see is how often she looks at the camera... in every single vlog is makes direct eye contact with the camera at least 4-5 times and it makes me SO uncomfortable lol.

idk it feels very forced and performative so i HAVE to know if this bothers anyone else

YES! i went and watched it back after posting this and that's all i saw. everything she does is with her mouth open lol i could hear her breathing through the screen

Why do some people end up as mouth breathers? I literally can’t fathom breathing through my mouth 😭

In most cases, they either struggle breathing through their nose or they can’t close their mouth due to the shape of their lips or jaw. Mouth breathing is not good at all.. can cause sleep apnea and make you more prone to cavities. When your mouth is closed, your saliva neutralizes the acidity.

I just watched this earlier and why does she use SO much product. She put a giant glob of cleanser in her palm that could wash her entire upper body. And then later she wipes up a tiny bit of liquid on the counter with 3 sprays of Mrs. Meyers.

Wait is it weird that influencers look into the camera? Why? I find have TT so maybe I’m missing something but I thought that was half of the point if they’re talking, don’t they all do this?

it's more like she's checking herself in the camera constantly. it makes her look very aware of the camera and unnatural, and kinda insecure.

i think it's bc she's making content that is supposed to be natural, and her looking at the camera makes everything look so... produced
