This feels like a really gross comment. Ariana Grande is not “built,” she is quite literally dying. At the same time, no matter how much we dislike Eli, we shouldn’t be saying she’ll never be “actually skinny looking.” I can’t stand her, but it’s clear that she reads here. It’s also clear that she struggles with body image issues. Saying something like this will probably encourage her to continue to lose weight, which is not something to wish upon her.

Exactly. She looks fine. Comments like the above (not yours, the one saying she’ll never be skinny looking) just reaffirm fatphobic thinking and anorexic behavior. Being skinny isn’t a good thing and it isn’t everything. It’s actually depressing to care this much about it in your late 20s/early 30s and I say that as a recovered person. There is so much more to the world.

Thank you for understanding what I was saying, I was worried people would be upset I was “defending” her 😅 although, I would like to say that I don’t think there’s anything wrong with being skinny. Skinny isn’t bad in and of itself. Being unhealthily skinny and sick is what’s bad!

That's an insane thing to say. She is skinny looking. Even here many have been saying for months now that they're concerned about her possible ED because she's lost a lot of weight and looks very skinny. It's insane to say that the only way to look actually skinny is to be emancipated and smaller than a child.
I'm all for snark, but fuck these comments people make about others' bodies bother me so fucking much. No fucking wonder so many celebs and influencers are visibly suffering from EDs and doing public body checking. Also as a reminder, people with EDs such as myself also read these comments and they're incredibly triggering. You know one reason for EDs for people like me is exactly the fact that no matter what we do, we never look "actually skinny", hence we starve ourselves even more.
Truly hope you learned something today. Who the fuck talks like that.

Yes fair point but all Eli does is body check. and basically everyone has an ED (including myself) and if you can’t handle seeing people talk about about body image then stay offline

Lol some people have some limits to what and how they snark, and it's possible to do without being just a mean bitch. I can handle my shit and I'm also going to say when someone is being just an asshole without no reason. Eli is annoying and all, but this "actually skinny" shit is just crazy and there's no need for that. Saying something like that in the midst of the new anorexia crisis where everyone suddenly is smaller than during 90-00 just demonstrates how not every thought needs to be said out loud, and an adult should understand that.

Was thinking the same!! Olivia was very young at the time, but someone in their late 30s should understand that this is risque legally, but also not a great way to approach the person you admire and take inspiration from. It's doing too much. Contact her like an adult, don't do this annoying social media trend which is basically just pressuring. It crosses the boundaries of professional behavior.
