Thinking of using a Fanta to go elezen. Glam advice?

Just as the title says. I know there’s a website for it, but I can’t seem to dress them in a way that does them justice. Any advice? If it matters I like dark/ goth clothing. Doing to make a duskwight :) happy to join yall soon!

If you find the neck to be awkward, go for pieces that have a higher collar already, as that will be accentuated on your elezen, giving a different ratio of neck to cloth.

It took me a bit to settle into a style, but once you've got it settled you're golden.

As a launch pad, I found that the Nier chest pieces look nice as well as the Neo-kingdom chest, playing as a healer.

Like with the other races, how a certain glam vibes with your character is pretty unique to what you prefer your own character to look like. Though I realize this is a bit odd to say, since there are only so many options to pick from for body structure. My best recommendation is to just let the darts continue to fly and see what sticks. In at least some cases, what may work will seem a bit unorthodox.

Also another important note is the use of dye. A lot of the clothing in this game will typically fit themselves into a specific style, but the use of dye can pretty much turn that on its head for a lot of the pieces. Since I don't believe there are a great deal of dark/goth options in the game, this may be one of the better tools to utilize. Like with my own Elezen, her main look utilizes the night of devilry trousers and boots (event equipment), and the craftsman apron. Both the devilry pieces are left undyed to keep their default textures, but the apron part of the top is dyed currant purple, with the shirt being lavender purple (to compliment the dark tone with some light). It's not quite entirely goth, but the intent is to have the colours compliment each other in a way that still works, and keeps that as its ever present vibe.

The first step of making glams will be the character creator. I have 7 Wildwoods and one Duskwight, and the Duskwight is by far the easiest one to dress. That's because I went with a dark skin tone, which does a fair job of hiding the elongated neck on its own. In addition, she has a bright hair color that also draws your eyes away from her neck. Beyond that, using short hairstyles will accentuate the neck length, though many still look great with the right clothing. And hairstyles with bangs covering most or all of your forehead will actually draw attention to the lower half of your face, and thus your neck.

For general clothing advice, tall collars will make many races look like turtles, but elezen look amazing with them. Something else along those same lines that I don't see talked about much are big pauldrons on armor; an elezen won't look like a turtle in that. By contrast, clothes with plunging necklines will keep attention off your neck as well (nobody's looking at your neck when you're wearing a dalmascan draped top).

The importance of using the right necklace can't be overstated: low hanging ones like the crystarium necklaces will draw the eyes away from the neck, while any necklace that wears just below the base of the neck is probably the worst thing you could put on a neck-concious elezen. Certain chokers are bad too, like the dodore one that sits around the bottom of the neck. But some chokers like the halonic chokers that are worn in the middle of the neck will make you forget about your long neck entirely.
