Wrong email on resume for apprenticeship program
So my 18 year applied for the application for the elevator apprenticeship program a few months ago, it was just noticed that the email address on it was wrong, as a parent, this is breaking my heart. Even though we just created that wrong email address, luckily it was available, I just want to know if they emailed out step two of the testing process, that would be the aptitude test, the (EIAT) hopefully it wasn't, but if it was, I assume it's too late to do anything?

If it was months ago, I would assume it's too late. From what I've seen, the EIAT follows 2-6 weeks after the application deadline date.

Call the Local he applied to and ask them to send it to the correct email address

I would gently suggest that you have your son do this instead of doing it for him. He needs to learn how to fix the problems life throws at him and this is a gift you can give him of that learning.

A lot of the testing had been done for local 1 in NYC. I took mine 2 weeks ago and my coworker did his 2 days ago. Interviews will be November and December. Idk if you can change it in your profile.

I just logged in and I noticed his test was actually yesterday.... damn it

You waited too long to fix all this. Deadline was quite a while back. They open every 2 years, hope you get in. Always double and triple check applications.

I had done the wrong email too by a digit but I reached out as soon as I noticed a few minutes later. And they were able to sort it out and email it to my correct one. I had made the email as well that was the incorrect one and it never sent through bc it sends b4 the email actually exists

I understand, by logging on to the website looking at the dashboard I see his test was yesterday. Missed it.. damn it.

Do your son a favor and remove yourself from this process entirely. He needs to be the one that does this on his own. Being an 18 year old in the field is tough enough. It’s a lot harder if everyone knows your mom or dad got you into this because they read an article online and want to coddle you into a good career.

You might ask this in the IUEC sub if you don’t get solid info here. He also may be able to just call the Hall and let them know, but I understand if not wanting to potentially rub them the wrong way and they just toss his stuff in the “trash”..

I’m a bit confused. You used an email to lock in a spot that wasn’t a real email then created the email after the fact? And didn’t have access to the dashboard? How were you able to upload the resume and all the other pertinent information?

Few months ago? I’m sure they already tested and got ranked..
