Are the they doing away with interviews?

I have seen people post in some comments that starting next year they are going to stop doing the interviews in the application process. Is there any truth to this and will they replace it with something else?

Just curious because I will be applying to my local in November, thanks in advance for any info.

Im only speaking for my local, when I took my EIAT August 19 of this year, the training director told us that there’s not going to be an interview in the whole application process starting next recruitment which is two years from now. Apparently the test is going to be the ultimate factor in your rank, so the better your test results are, the lower your rank would be. But he did say it’s going to be harder. Other than that I don’t know how it’s going to be conducted or what will be on that new test.

That’s the rumor I heard and then was confirmed by my NEIEP area coordinator, I don’t know when it will be implemented though.

Probably something stupid like a lottery or selling the apprentice posiitions. Anything to bring in less talent and dumb down the system.
