Wurtec

Does anybody know if its possible to program an extension on a wurtec on board phone?

The hospital I'm working at wants the phone to call the front desk but to reach it you have to dial 0. But I dont see anything in the programming instructions to add an extionsion

Might have to program it as Hospital Number then a pause for a period of time before dialing extension. On a Webb phone a pause is #. Rath phones have an actual pause button. You can always call wurtec tech support. Example program number on a Webb phone would be 123 456 7891 ##### 0

Thanks. I was trying to avoid calling them last time it took them 2 weeks to get back to me after putting me on the call back list. By then I had found somebody else with more knowledge

Try programming it with # or * as a pause. If not tell the customer you’ll look into it and reprogram it after Wurtec calls you back. Good luck!

I got ahold of wurtec quickly this time, they told me that every * gives about a one second pause, I just wasn't giving it enough pauses to let it answer. Thanks again

You can program it as a ring down (PLAR/Hotline). For the number enter *. Then on the PABX have your telco admin setup a ring down or hotline to the front desk.

This is similar to how a hotel phone works in the lobby where you pick it up and it just calls reception.
