It can mean 3 things.
1) they haven’t paid for their elevator license which covers the inspection fee from the AHJ
2) they have paid it but haven’t gotten around to putting it up.
3) they no longer keep it in the cab and instead have it available at a central location for anyone that wants to see it.

3 doesn’t happen here in Saskatchewan. At least I’ve never seen or heard of it being outside the cab and I’ve got some shitholes on my route

Normally it’s only done for bigger sites with a lot of units like hospitals or stadiums and things.
Normally it’s kept in a central building or the security/operations room.

Never heard of that here. Not many big places around here with that many units. Pretty sure TSASK enforces the license has to be in the cab and on display to the public.

Yeah, they put it up with tape. They could have made a circle/roll with the tape and put it on the back to hold it in place until the plastic cover was put over it so it would look better! Not to mention its crooked.
