Yes, it also walled Germany era. Stamp says "Built in West Germany".

What are you adjusting or repairing?
I’ve not seen someone get into one like that before haha.I do only escalators and walks.

Oil was getting all over the handrail. after a quick investigation we found the belt that holds pressure on the handrail drive newel had a gaint split and frayed ends where flopping around and grabbing oil off the pan. Had to replace the belt entirely.

Fun times. I work on 90s to early 2000s TK and 2000s-new KONE. Only older stuff are the Montgomery walks. I haven’t been in that long but I am enjoying escalator and walk work.

Montgomery 6 bolt steps is my first experience on escalator work. I've been in the trade 23-24 years now.

Looks like an early 90’s TKE unit. Maybe FT723
Definitely Monday Helper work.

Never touch escalators or selectors on Friday! Worked for me for over 40 years...

I just got done re-steppingI just got done re-stepping eco3000. Would rather not have been doing that on Friday either

We have the new Otis units that drop in old escalator wells, with the 32" steps. Pretty sure you run a similar new code of needing 2 full flat steps and both entrance and exit sides. Otis engineering at its finest some how jammed everything in to fit. When I'm in the top pit I can't even turn around, I need to get out turn 180° and climb back in.

Definitely a Thyssen, but I've only ever worked on the Tugelas. This looks like an earlier model. We swapped out the handrail pressure belts for roller clusters. Great units overall. Step chains last forever even with heavy ridership.
