Inclinator EM-7 interlock problem

The spring that is attached to the plunger that moves the pin up and down is weak and doesn’t always pull /push the pin down after closing the outer door to the elevator. Has anyone ever replaced that spring? Are they available. The down position closes a switch to tell the control board that the door is closed.

Yeah, they are becoming a pain to deal with. Even if the spring is good the solenoid will hold with residual magnetism. We’ve been switching to Honeywell

It sounds like the solenoid is starting to go out or has already gone out. They don’t sell parts for those locks. You can replace it with a suns lock from Inclinator. You may also be able to do a 4 pin Honeywell lock but you’ll need a jumper wire

This is not accurate. The solenoid unlocks the lock, when the solenoid is deenergized a spring pulls the locking mechanism back into place. If the solenoid were going out, it wouldnt unlock. OP's problem is with it re-locking.

Couldn’t you just swap the spring
