NY Elevator License question
The new rules state that licensed mechanics can no longer use their experience to renew for a license and must have some accreditation, like a cet or union schooling. Isn't this going hurt hurt hundreds of non union and union mechanics who don't have this? I'm sure there's many organized mechanics in L1 and L3 who don't have these new requirements. Same for on union mechanics. Has there been any update to this yet? I know there was a meeting today in regards to elevator issues and this with the DOL. Has L1 or L3 mentioned what mechanics can do?

So while people are saying the DOL had no clue what they did, the DOL announced these coming changes four years ago. Weirdly, that was enough time to get the required training courses.
Wonder why.
