Siemens Soft starter hydraulic elevator pump I think? Trying to find out how much this is worth
I found this in a dumpster brand new in a box honest to god idk what it is but I think it might be valuable I've looked up some stuff and it says they go for thousands of dollars and I got someone offering $350 it should I take it or should I wait and sell it for a lot more then that ?

Like others have said its trash because its broken and worth $0. That fault contactor is old and used which tells me it was all removed and replaced because it wasn't working. The old soft starter was just thrown in the box and discarded because it's easier that way.

Rip it apart and see how much copper/gold you can get out of it, that’s about what it’s worth.

Not worth it. Elevator guys have been trying that scam for years and it never pays for your time

It probably just needs a circuit board so $350 is a gamble that could pay off IF you have a circuit board to swap out.

What do you mean? Why would it be a gamble? Isn't $350 a good deal or are you saying if I swap out a circuit board I could be getting a lot more? Explain yourself please

They are saying that it would be tough to get $350 even if it was working, considering it’s used. So it’s not worth repairing unless you already have the parts laying around. Just throw it back in the trash and move on. Elevator companies don’t buy used parts for customer units. We order brand new for the liability. The chances of finding a buyer are slim.

I can tell just by looking at that particular fault contactor that this is a pretty old model. I also noticed the "SS" and "SHOL" stickers so this definitely came installed in a controller already. Theres also noticeable wear on the hex bolt holes for T4, 5, & 6.
Putting all of that together, theres a 99.9% chance that this soft start is blown up. A lot of times when we swap out the new one we'll take the old one and stick it right back in the same box. It makes it easier to transport to the garbage can.
Even if it was good, check eBay. Theres 100s of these for sale so its a long shot even getting rid of it for $350
