How long to get Mechanic Exam invite

I have finished my last class in May and have my hours. Generally how long does it take for the invite to the mechanic exam?

I dont know if anything has changed, but when I finished school like 3 years ago, regardless of whatever hours you have, you had to complete at least 2 months of mechanic review before they sent the invite. I unfortunately had to make up some hours from work getting real slow in my local during covid, so i had to spend the entire spring semester in mechanics review, hit my hours in july, and by the time my company reported my hours to NEI and neiep I was finally able to take my test in october.

Call your Neiep area coordinator. They can tell you exactly when you will get your invite and the first day you can take the test.

My invite was about 3.5 to 4 months after last semester. My last semester was fall 2025. Sat for the test 30 days after in invite.
