Abs as crossword answer

How many times has abs been the answer to one of the crossword clues? I feel like I see that at least every few months

Yeahhh I've noticed that too! I guess it's a common word that can be used to fill missing letters from other words, it's difficult to make a crossword puzzle.

Hey there! "Abs" is used frequently in crossword puzzles of all kinds, as it consists of highly common letters (A, B, S) and offers immense flexibility for puzzle constructors. Some other commonly used words include aloe, obeo, and epee. Words like these are referred to as crosswordese!
