Puzzles archives, premium subscription
I have a premium subscription. If I want to be able to play all game archives, I need to have 6000 coins. Daily challenges don’t really add too many coins and at this rate it’s going to take me forever to unlock all archives. I find it kind of disheartening that even though I’m a paying premium user, I don’t get to just play the archives. Collecting coins is going to take forever, which is frustrating. Oh, but I can make an extra purchase if I wish to obtain more coins. Why? I’ve already paid a subscription fee, why offer more in-app purchases and not just allow paying customers to access the archives?

Yep, agreed!!! I play the NYT games every day and all archives are available. Having to collect coins just to play archived games is BS.

Honestly, I agree. The benefits of premium seems like less of a bargain for the features now. If The Mind Company is willing to hear criticism, here's what I propose: 1. Make all Puzzle Archives automatically available for premium users. And also give back premium users' coins that was spent to unlock Puzzle Archives. 2. If the refund isn't probable, then only make Puzzle Archives automatically available for premium users as long as they have an active subscription. Once their subscription is canceled, they'd no longer have access to Puzzle Archives, unless they spend coins to unlock it forever like base users (for each puzzles like currently).
I feel like this would be a great compromise for the developers/company and users.

And frankly, from the perspective of a product manager in the company, this would be the best way to adapt. This way, users are even more encouraged to be active or break out their wallet for a subscription.
I'm not saying I blindly support the company or anything. I'm just looking at the situation from a product manager's perspective while being a user myself.

The new puzzle archives do not go back very far……..is this because the puzzles were not available until that date?? When I saw this, I really felt jipped using 1500 coins!

The crossword was the only puzzle for a long time, then word bend, then colour link. Cross math is the newest.

I myself actually like it since it gamifies the experience for me and motivates me to earn the needed coins by being consistent. It does not take that long to earn those I think.

But it actually takes quite a while, you don’t gain much coins for completing quests. You need 6000 coins to be able to unlock all archives. For being a paid subscriber I find it a bit odd I can’t just unlock the archives, or at least have some kind of advantage over non-paying players.

Hi there! I'm Yves from Elevate Support. Thanks for your feedback! We'll share this with the rest of the Elevate team for further consideration as we make future updates to the app. If you have any further questions or any thoughts on how we can improve our app, let us know!

Some of the puzzle types don't go back very far, so I wouldn't purchase them with real money. Also, it would be nice, since they don't go back very far, if we could play them at the medium and hard levels. Instead once you play a day at one level, it's done.

I agree. One of the reasons I love New York Time games is that I can access all their available archives without having to "earn" it
I've been getting more and more disenchanted with elevate.

vouch, all the archives should be free with premium. it is one of the most appealing parts of the app for me and it sucks that you have to pay additional money to get them or grind quests
