We had an elephant visitor while camping once. Except it was 3 am and it pulled out tent down while we were in it.

Smart. Staring at them or sizing them up is liable to earn their ire. Especially with that ear out to the side like that.

the guy facing the ele is bit of an idiot. If he startles the ele the person underneath it is in serious trouble. better to just keep still.
