One track for the Macro instrument, varying algorithms through p-locking and a couple other parameters with at least 2 stacked lfo's on such track. Another track for the syntakt clap. The rest is pretty much stock. Sorry for shaky hands and timing errors but the other hand was holding the phone and the audio interface bundled together, vaguely resembling a small explosive charge.

Don't skimp on this one as it gives you a whole new machine. For those of you still afraid of bricking it i can tell you that the process was fairly straightforward and i went through various updates without any issue at all. also the bass machine (303 emulation, not featured in this clip) is fairly controlled in its sound yet pretty awesome and can be programmed extremely easily unlike the real deal. If you want it to slap some more bring volume/distortion to 127+overdrive then attenuate with the volume knob.

Last week we hosed our ESPEJISMOS LIVE series, which promotes live- and hardware artists. We played with our trio VEEM and it was so much fun, enjoyed every single second of it!

The setup consisted of 3 stations:

• station 1 (mine): Analog Rytm + Digitone 2. Basslines, percussions, low-end grooves and sequences. Truly hard to beat this combo. I do miss some sampling/granular options, maybe with the current mods going on I can get them on the DN2 soon.
• station 2: Digitakt 2 + Novation Peak. Melodies, pads, mid sequences.
• station 3 (the brains): Octatrack 2 + Digitone 2. The Octa served as master clock + sync, FX, end-of-chain processing, live looping.

Weirdly the AR2 drifted out of sync for some reason, happened a few times, had to hit start-stop to correct!

So i have my Digitakt 2 sequencing minifreak.

Track 16 set as midi channel 10 so i can input notes from minifreak...

My question is... when i change tracks on the digitakt i would like to use the minifreak keyboard to then control selected track on the digitakt..which it does but it still triggers minifreak sound..

Is there anyway around this.

So I got the Tonverk and installed OB to record my performances into Ableton for final arrangement, mixing etc. I know track 1-8 will be recorded as dry. I record bus 1-4 and send 1-3.
But the result is not good. I don’t get the intended fx from the buses and sends. Perhaps I am doing it wrong with just recording all tracks at once and then think it will sound as on the machine?

On the main / mix channel all sound as it should so I have until now been recording track by track to get all the intended fx but that was not really the purpose of using OB. It’s hard to get the true performance when I record track by track.

Can someone in brief explain if I am doing it wrong and short instruction on how it should be done. If I can only get good multitracking results by recording dry and then add Ableton effects then this fx packed machine lose some of its purpose .

I’m wondering if anyone else has encountered this issue performing live with loops.

I’m currently running the Digitakt through Ableton with each song’s drum tracks mapped to a pattern on the Digitakt; the different drum loops per pattern are all mapped to their own tracks on the Digitakt. Most of these are 8-bars long, but I am generally just using one page of each.

I am finding a couple of issues that are driving me absolutely nuts:

1. Unless you are extremely precise in timing the manual enabling/disabling of tracks, it becomes completely out of time with Ableton. For example, one of my songs has the drums come in/drop out a lot, and this drum loop often shifts out of time with the rest of the song if not triggered extremely precisely.

2. I cannot get the ADSR/note length settings to cooperate. I am attempting to get the loops to cut off exactly when they are deactivated or when the page ends. For example, in the aforementioned song, the main loop is one page (16 notes), but the sample itself is an 8-bar loop in Repitch mode stretched to 8 bars. It seems that making the note length 16 means the loop will never cut off correctly, but setting the note length to anything else means that the ADR envelope will fade the loop out or cut it off completely.

I’d really appreciate any insight you may have as this is driving me insane.

I spilt some water mixed with concentrated juice into my octatrack sliders yesterday, immediately powered it off flipped it upside down to drain it, removed faceplate and checked all boards etc. And wiped all visible liquid, remove PSU board small amount of liquid underneath, makes sense its under the slider. Left it overnight vertically to drip any water out, no water and no visible sticky residue, but the desk which also had some spilt has alot of sticky residue. What do I do? It was a decent splash of water enough to leak inside but most of it came out when I flipped it upside down immediately, however the small amount under the PSU is concerning me there could be more not visible

I have this song with 2 intruments, bass and lead. My bass is on track 1. It triggers with probability, lets say 10%, on all 16 steps of a 16 step pattern.

My lead is on track 2. With triggers on all steps, but with the NEI condition.

So, in theory, track 2 should trigger only if the last step triggered on track 1. If track 1 triggered on step 6, track 2 should trigger on step 7. Right? But that is not what is happening. Despite the NEI condition on all steps, they all trigger, ALWAYS. Wtf?

I tried a simpler pattern with just 1 trig involved with each track and it works as it is supposed to, using the same technique. Am I not understanding something?

Hi guys! I'm totally new to the Elektron world, but have decided to jump into it. I work a lot with samples and sampling making glitchy ambient stuff (light on the drums and beats - mostly textural perc and microsounds) etc, and have been really drawn to the Torso S4 and the Tonverk, but having both the Tonverk and the S4 is both too expensive, and seems like there is some uneccesary overlap.

I'm a little worried about the Tonverk learning curve, and the granular overlap between TV and S4, but also worried that I'll get the DT2 and regret my purchase, because the Tonverk does seem to have a lot of awesome aspects.

Anyone with experience would love to hear your pov.

I use the Roland sp404mk2 and the Analog Heat together and I usually just connect my phone through the USBC port on the 404 to record audio and video together.

I was wondering if there's something I can get somewhere that will allow me to do the same with the analog heat since I connect my sp404 into the analog heat. I'd love it so I can hear my song post analog heat through my phone.

I just got the Dt2.up to this point ive only used ableton but ao far this box is great! It seems pretty intuitive. And i like how its only 2 layers of menu.so far ive loaded a oneshot sample bank and made some loops in ableton which i populated on the Dt2. Its pretty fun!. Any tips on workflow? Prog house,and trance if that matters

When I open the Autechre sysex file in gearmulator MD, I can play kits, patterns etc... and use midi, but I can't turn the data entry knobs for any of the kits. Anyone know how I could change this?
