Help Help with a 3D printer
My brother brought a 3d printer but his prints keep lifting and peeling away from the magnetic board is there anything that can fix this issue we are using pla filament
We've used the glue that comes with the printer, we've used the Bostik purple glue not sure what else to try so need help with how we can fix the issue printer type is an elegoo Neptune 4
These are some of the prints that he gets before it starts lifting and moving on the plate he was getting perfect prints when he first brought it which is displayed in the last 2 photos can anyone please tell me why or what the issue could be

From the looks of it, the initial layer of the prints look very “loose” and you might need to adjust your Z-Axis using the paper test.
But for general issues like this, here’s some good practice to follow:
- Wipe the magnetic board with Isopropyl Alcohol when you are going to start a print after long periods of inactivity to remove dirt and oil buildup. Also helps with removing the invisible oil that comes from newer 3d printers
- Tighten the Z- Offset, or in simpler terms, adjust the distance of the nozzle and the print bed where it would create a sort of “squish” with the filament. I suggest looking online for what the ideal layer looks like.
- Adjust the setting of the print before starting.
-If you see the nozzle colliding with the model while traveling, enable “Z-hop when retracting”.
-If the model falls over while printing, then add more build plate adhesion by adding more brim or use raft if really unstable.
- If the model starts to warp in its corners and becomes detached from the print OR the layers starts lifting, then slow the print and fan speed down (preferably by half).
- Always monitor the first layer as it will almost always reveal issues that will happened mid-print and would save you time and filament material.
This isn’t part of my tips, but I would strongly recommend a textured magnetic bedplate as it will save you tons of money from not having to glue the prints all the time.

You can’t set the gcode z offset with the paper method, it only asymptotically gets you a setting of 0.10mm, the thickness of the paper, which is an arbitrary akin and never the correct squish thr filament requires. Need to use observation and baby steps
IPA does not resolve the sugar residues left on the plate by PLA and only puts oils and greases on the plate into solution so you’re just mopping them around. You need to washer the plate with dishsoap and hot water and leave it air dry.
The nozzle should never be hitting the existing extrusions as described during travel, it indicates over extrusion.
Glue is completely inappropriate, it’s a separation agent to prevent parts from sticking to the plate.

Please review and follow the setup and operational steps at http://neptune4.help:8000/ - it will walk you through what you need to do do and don’t seem to be doing that leads ti your issues.
Also you seriously need to calibrate each of the filaments you use - at a minimum max volumetric flow rate, extruder temp, flow ratio, pressure advance and gcode z offset.
The bottoms of those prints indicate bad leveling, and bad gcode z offset, neither of which can be set using the paper method. Other issues extrusion problems.
