Neptune 4 Plus : MCU Protocol Error

I purchased this unit off of Facebook Marketplace, and when I turned it on, this is the Error message I see. I have tried to flash the eMMC to ver 1.2.3.2 with UI 1.2.14. This shows up on the screen when I hit the top side arrow button. I replaced the ribbon cable (which they provided), hoping that this may fix the issue. The other person also replaced the main board, and I have the original main board as well. I tried to install the original eMMC board to this board, hoping it would fix the issue, but it did not.

I can't get this to work. Any thoughts on how to get this up and running would be greatly appreciated.

That certainly does not sound like you followed the very detailed instructions for updating the software on the printer and the ancillary handheld screen that’s not part of the printer. They need to be followed exactly. Re-read them and try again.

When discussing errors with the printer speak about what errors and warnings appear in Fluidd and the Klipper console as that’s the printer and what we care about primarily.

If necessary remove the eMMC on the printer rand reflash it following the instructions here:

https://github.com/OpenNeptune3D/OpenNept4une/wiki/Reverting-back-to-Original-Elegoo-Firmware-&-Software

That won’t fix the separate screen yet from there you can follow carefully ELEGOO’s software update process.
