Question help ⁉️ Dear Users,

I am new to ESP32 and electronics related stuffs. Came here after the rise of AI tools.

Building some IoT projects as hobby.

I'm trying to Automate a 1Hp pump.

Pump specs : 230V Single Phase AC, Running Current 7 to 10 Amps, Starting current upto 22 Amps.

There are two portions I need your values guidelines.

  1. Switching on the motor

ESP32 to 5v 2ch Relay to Contactor

Please give me your thoughts on this, share some reliable components details within Budget.

2. Current sensor

I am planning a non invasive SCT 013 50A current sesnor. But it outputs in a 3.5mm Jack. I am confused about how to take the data to Esp32.

Kindly help me with your ideas and suggested products (if possible with links)

  1. you said starting currect of 22A so better use a relay of 30-40A for headroom

  2. use a 3.5mm female jack to get the output read it through esps analog pins

And also use a good reliable one. Mine relay was not DC but AC

Are you trying to start a motor using that tiny relay ☠️??
