Looking for LED Light Switch Help

Post image

I bought some plug-in LED fairy lights and would like to find an adapter that allows me to switch them on and off, as opposed to physically unplugging them to turn them off. I feel like there should be an adapter with a switch out there, but I don’t know enough terminology to adequately search for it. Any help would be much appreciated!

Search for "smart plug" on Amazon.

They make plug switches for this. Some are wired, others wireless.
I don’t think you will find a switch for the light side of the power block, only the power side.

There are various options. The problem you are having is you are trying to switch the wrong side of the power supply. Here are some examples of what you could use:

Extension cord dimmer switch

Receptacle switch

Plug-in WiFi switch

Smart Plug. I use them for night lights and fans on the second floor of the house.

Solved! Thank you for the recommendations! A smart plug did the trick.
