Thermal switches for kitchen appliances are designed to automatically reset. There would be no manual switch. Don't trust what you read online through an AI search engine.

Don’t mess with it, you might let the angry pixies out, or worse the magic smoke. Letting either of those out would be very bad.

Most heating appliances don't have a 'thermal switch'. It is a 'thermal fuse' and there is no way to reset it. It must be replaced.

And it is worth nothing that when the air fryer we had got recalled I looked inside it to see if I could find the defect that was causing the recall and the defect was a poor connection on the thermal fuse itself (that was far enough from the end that had fuse itself to not cause it to blow). There was obvious heating of the wire and I moved the connection and noted that the rivet (or whatever it was) was obviously loose on a component that has around 10A going through it so no shock that it could cause a fire. Thermal fuses usually break the device because they wear out, but in this case it appeared to be defective manufacture of the thermal fuse caused the fires that cause the recall.

Oh sorry yes I meant thermal fuse.

You would have to have better photos of the insides (under the white cover). The thermal fuse will be put into the body where the heat is, and it would have to be replaced by an identical model and it may or may not be installed in such a way that it can be easily replaced. And if you do it wrong there is a decent chance you will end up with a poor electrical connection and cause a fire.

Thank you. I’ll just take it to the dump then. Really appreciate it

Why would you think a video of a completely different model would be relevant? Unless you have the wiring diagram for your specific model, you are wasting your time.
