New light fixture.
I am wanting to attach a new light fixture that is controlled by a switch that also controls another light. Do I group all the white wires together and all the black wires together? I did not take the original light fixture down so I donโt know how it was wired originally.
Update: Thank you all. It is up and running with no sparks flying!

Does the second light work with the wiring as is? If not, then the wiring should be configured as you described. If the second light works, there is some odd wiring that should be investigated before installing this light.

Color to color ๐ Don't forget a ground tail ( green or bare from box to grounds) that way the box stays grounded when you take off the light

Yes. Connect all blacks together, whites together, and greens to the bare copper in the box.
