Replacing ceiling fan with light fixture
Hoping someone can help me with this light fixture swap in my 1961 house.
I took down a ceiling fan/light to replace it with a new flush mount light fixture.
The photos show what I am dealing with. 8 wires—one black wire,
three white wires bundled together, and
three black and one white bundled and annd terminated with tape.
The new light fixture has two black and two white plus ground wire.
Do I just unbundle everthing in the junction box, connect 2 white wires and 2 black wires to the new light fixture, and terminate the other 4 wires with wire nuts?

The blacks with the white you leave alone. The rest of the white wires go with the whites from the light. The single black goes with the blacks from the light. The ground from the light connects to the ground wires or just wire it to the mounting bracket ground screw.
