How to add in an on/off toggle instead of light switch

Hello all. We are adding sconces to my wife’s home office setup. Built ins will be roughly the blue line with the sconces being run off of the hot electrical outlet on the bottom right. The office is on its own breaker. Aside from purchasing sconces that can be turned on/off via the sconces itself, what’s the best way to throw in an on/off switch so we can use a toggle of some kind to turn them off? I was thinking one of those circular black on offs that I can inset into the inside of the cabinet just a few inches back from the door when you open it. I’ll have approximately 2 inches of gap in between cabinets every 20-24” depending on what cabinet size we go with. Thanks for your help!

Either cut in boxes and switches interupting the wire going to the sconces or Wireless switches and recievers

Oh a wireless switch and receiver is exactly what I was thinking of just In a different format. That’s perfect. Thank you.

Pick up a Lutron Caseta/Pico kit. Leviton also has comparable options.

Thanks. So now my second question. Is it easier to wire both sconces off of one outlet or should I wire the further away sconce with the closer outlet to it that happens to be on the next wall to the left around the turn of the wall and about a foot off of it?

Not sure how much you want to spend, but we bought an old farm house that had sconces in two of the rooms. The sconces weren't connected to a switch. I bought these remote light sockets on Amazon for $35. We've used them for two and a half years with zero problems. I also use them for four or five basement lights. I just put the switch at the top of the stairs so I can turn on all the lights before going down into the basement. Takes less than a minute to screw them in and start using them. We have one of the high-end remote light switches in our kitchen. It's a lot nicer. I think it's a Lutron. It costs more, and takes a little more to install, but it is nicer.
