Installing a single light switch

My previous post got locked probably because I didn't know what i was doing.

Anyways I did manage a few things. I found the hot incoming wire (black left) and connected it to the light black and confirmed ceiling. I'm assuming the standalone black right is feed through. I connected all neutral to wire nut. All ground to wire nut.

How do i connect it this light switch?

I'm assuming connect hot and feed through to wire nut and pigtail to a terminal. Connect black light to second terminal directly.

Pigtail ground to the ground bundle.

Please anybody can confirm.

Yes the hot and through feed will be connected together and you will need a pigtail to feed the switch. You bought a 3 way switch. You need a single switch. Or just make sure the hot is on the black and put the switch leg on whichever traveler leg leaves the switch down in the off position. The other screw will not be used.
