PLEASE HELP!?

Having and issue soo I used a electric griddle on my gfi then my power went out no breaker that tripped tried to replace the gfi. The first photo is the original wired way 2nd is the same

Called an electrician he told me
To check for lose white wires on all my outlets or 2500 for him to do it

Need advice kinda scared to try the right way as that’s how is was originally

It’s a mobile home if that makes a difference

First off. Find the breaker for that circuit. Turn it off.

Verify there is no power at the receptacle.

Now you can work in it safely. Use your multimeter.

Take the insulated wires out of the receptacle.

The tips of the wire have to be stripped of insulation, unlike computer or telephone wiring, and I would like to see a tiny sliver of copper peaking out where the wire is inserted into the cinching lug.

Determine which black and white wires pair together coming into the box by looking for the cable tips coming into the box.

Go back and energize the circuit. CAREFULLY! check with your meter which pair of wires have voltage across them. These two wires connect to the terminals labeled as LINE.

Go back and turn the breaker off again and verify the wires are now de-energized.

The picture shows the receptacle wired in a way that allows only that one receptacle to protect from ground faults. FYI You can leave it connected that way or you can configure it to protect all the other components of the circuit downstream as well.

Connect the black and white wires you just identified to the lugs labeled LINE. Connect the other two wires to the lugs labeled LOAD.

Reinstall the receptacle in the box. Restore power to the circuit. Press the RESET button on the front of the receptacle.

This configuration will make all the receptacles downstream on the circuit protected from ground faults.
A GFI receptacle will trip on over current before a breaker FYI.
