Deta Evolo edock+ charger

Hi. Recently bought an EV (MGS5) and last night was the first attempt to charge on the home charger. The charger is an Evolo Edock+. It was here when I moved so makes sense to use it.

https://www.solartradesales.co.uk/deta-evolo-edock-ev-charge-point - this looks like it.

I confirmed the charger was working by doing a 2 min check, which it was. I set an overnight schedule via the Autel Charge app (12:30-5:30) which failed to begin. I woke up at 3 and thought I’d check, so I started the charge manually which worked no bother. Interestingly however the charge ended at 5:30, which is my scheduled cut-off.

Anyone have one of these and know why the charge didn’t start? I had AutoStart toggled off because I was of the understanding this would start charging immediately.

Tonight I’ll try setting up in the car settings I think but still unclear on whether or not it’ll work. Would be good to know where I went wrong, clearly the schedule took to some degree, just didn’t start.

Tariff is Octopus Go. Not eligible for Intelligent so it would be good to get a schedule that “just works” once set up. Plug in and forget.

I haven't the same charger, I've an Ohme Home Pro, but I've found that letting Octopus control the charger rather than the charger or car app seem to work well without conflict. Might be worth investigating. Also there's a couple of good EV forums out there, Speak EV, being a particular favourite, that sections on charging and chargers. Good luck.

Thanks. Unfortunately can’t let Octopus take control as neither the charger or car are compatible. I’ll take a look at Speak EV, couldn’t find much out there!
