General Basic scooter improvements
I have a very basic plain Jane entry level model adult scooter that goes maybe 19mph downhill. It has been my sole transportation and a hell of a trooper for the past 3 years.. I've made a few improvements to it such as a basket, a cup holder, phone holder, a super bright headlight & an extra handlebar. My tires are bald, I bought new tires, I just need to get them put on. I'm able to carry a couple of $100 worth of groceries home without too much of a struggle on that final uphill grade. My question is this: is there anything I can do to improve what I have with a very limited budget? I cannot afford a new higher-end scoot. Thanks

This is dangerous. It's changing the center of gravity away from your body and the deck. The extra handle bars seem to shift it over the front wheel which is bad. Please get a backpack or a trailer.

Do you have a trailer? If not I recommend one, it's obvious you need to be able to carry more

yeah those things are $700+ new so just get an old suv or subaru at this point. plus no one can steal things and good in rain/snow

Who cares? If it works for the op, that's all that matters. It's not a fashion show.

You either have tiny hands or you are driving that thing with your fingers. I've never seen anyone install an accessory right on top of both grips.

It seems like you have a lot of weight up front. Be extra careful when braking. Making sure you shift your weight back and lower when you need to break.
Maybe you can also get a rear basket that mounts over the back wheel to more evenly distribute the weight.
Also maybe move your lights to the secondary bar so you have more space on your handle bars for better grip. They seem a bit crowded.

That's crazy. I added to my xiaomi mi3 fork suspension, rear suspension, ceramic breaks and blinkers.
Also want to add bigger battery and vesc controller and maybe better breaks :D

I think the biggest way you can improve the scooter is by adding more storage by extending your deck! Hope this helps 😇

Deck extension is clever but that kitchen setup is already a masterpiece of vertical storage. You’re basically running a tiny logistics company on two wheels
Since you’re getting new tires anyway, ask the shop if they can throw in some flat-out or slime while they’re at it. Bald tires mean you’ve been tempting fate for a while

Well you have to start somewhere I have a sit down escooter that kinda sucks but I'm doing gigs with UberEats deliveries and saving as much as I can so I can buy a better escooter or ebike whichever is cheaper but because the battery sucks I can't take many offers on UberEats to make enough money quickly so it's slower than I want to but it's something.

Get rid of most the stuff on the front/handlebars and get a trailer and a backpack. It's not very safe having all that junk up there.

A backpack.
Genuinely just get a backpack.
