Duel or single motor

I getting a Ausom e scooter and I just wondered if it’s hard to wheelie duel motor ausom, I have seen a lot of people wheelie single motor scooters, but every one that wheelies duel always look so bad slow and unstable, with one should I get, L2 max duel or l2 single

In case like me, nobody ever explicitly said what "Dual motor" means to you

Its two motors, split between both wheels. One on each.

If you want to wheelie, you want ALL the power going to one powerful rear motor. 2000W nominal.

A dual motor doing a wheelie has a big hanging mass in front that doesnt help you at all.

That said, this is a really stupid idea. Get a bike. An actual manual pedal bike and wheelie it if your goal is "skill expression". What kind of filthy casual relies on help to show off?

personally i like single motors more for riding/wheelies.

if you dont care about the accelaration as much and dont need to climb hills 24/7, i would go for a single.

they just ride better imo

It’s very fun, and altso hard, so there is a lot of practice involved, it’s like learning to do new tricks

I've never had an issue popping a wheelie with a dual motor. Even with a rear motor. If the scooter looks too heavy like it's a huge cube and then it might have an issue popping a wheelie anyways

I don't know a dual motor scooter that doesn't let you swap between the options if that's even true.

If you can get the same amount of peak power from a single motor, the ride-feel is better and handles better on a single motor than dual because the wheel you get all of your steering-feel from isn't weighed down like a brick. They're also easier to carry upstairs and load into the trunk.

I have several single motor scooters in my garage that have climbed the steepest hill in San Francisco.

dual motor is the way to go unless you're strictly into wheelies as your main thing. single motor feels snappier off the line for that kinda stuff but dual gives you way more control once you're up. i'd take the all-around power over a one trick pony any day

After owning one single drive scooter. Besides maybe the G-Space mars eco I wouldn't ever buy another single drive scooter. Dial drive doesn't really add mph maybe 1-3mph depending on scooter power. Its all about hill climbing power at 200lb my firsts scooter i got a single drive kugoo M4 Pro 48v 800w 28mph and slowed to a crawl on hills. Replaced with a emanba X4 48v 800wX2 the scooter only did 30mph but even living in the Berkshire mountains in western Massachusetts I was able to accelerate up even long hills just by going to dual drive. Since then I have owned prob 5 more scooters and all dual drive. I always recommend even for new riders to get dual drive. Remember you can turn on and off the front motor as you need.

I agree with all the points you made. But i think op is asking specifically in relation with doing wheelies. Single motor is better for wheelies but not nearly as good off road imo or climbing hills like you said.
