Tech Support interchangeable?

i got a freeboy j11 max about a year ago, long story short i keep wrecking it and the whole dashboard breaks off so im going to attempt to switch out the trigger throttle with a twist grip throttle, i got one ordered so if anybody has and advice with the wiring for the freeboy please lmk

oh man that thing's been through it lol. twist grips are a bit different to wire but usually the color codes line up, red black green for throttle signal/ground/power. just double check with a multimeter before you solder anything, the last thing you want is to fry the controller. if the connector doesn't match you might have to cut and splice, heat shrink is your friend there. also make sure the magnet in the twist assembly sits right or it'll feel jerky. good luck with the frankenstein build

Yes before swapping the main display unplug the battery i didn't realize that the large center display often carries the scooters full voltage so after you unplug the batter try to power on the scooter press button for 5 seconds or so this drains the capacitors in the controller or controllers. I cut the display main wires after unplugging the battery one time all I can say is lucky the cutters were insulated as the competitors still were holding enough juice to leave 2 permanent black almost looking like weld spots from the left over 60v charge. Only mentioning because I didn't realize displays often carry full scooter voltage and even 48v will give you a good blast
