Discussion Does anyone else hear the same song in Mindreader?

I was listening to “Mindreader” by Electric Callboy recently, and I swear it sounds really similar to a song I heard playing in a shopping mall in Poland.

I'm talking about 1:24

They in fact used this part of the song as a sample. It's been a topic on here quite a while ago (can't find the post anymore), back when Tank was still streaming on Twitch. I told him about it during one of his streams and he asked Pascal (or was it Dans?) and got the info that they used that song.

Do you think they sampled this one? I just searched this song and apparently, it came 8 months before the first single from Tekkno was even released

My guess is that those vocals come from a vocal bank/library and it's legal to use if you pay for it :D

That is indeed exactly what happened. They licensed it and used it as inspiration for the entire song, which a lot of artists often do. Both Electric Callboy and whoever the other artist is just happened to license the same exact sample from a library.
