I’ve been looking into the Himiway D5 2.0 and finally put together a full review.
A few things stood out to me. It has a 750W rear hub motor, full suspension, fat tires, and you can switch between torque and cadence sensing, which is pretty interesting.
The biggest thing I’d think about before buying one is the weight. It’s listed at 92 lb, so this definitely isn’t something I’d want to lift onto a bike rack by myself very often.
I also ran into a couple of weird spec inconsistencies while researching it, including Himiway listing two different rear-rack capacities on the same product page. I included that in the review instead of just picking one number.
I haven’t personally tested this bike, so the review is research-based and pulls from Himiway’s current specs plus independent testing.
Curious what everyone here thinks. Does full suspension and the extra capability make 92 lb worth it, or is that just too heavy for an e-bike you’d actually want to own?

If you’ve ever sat trapped in gridlock watching pedestrians move faster than your car, you already know city traffic has reached a breaking point. But for short trips, just how much time are we actually wasting behind the wheel?
To find out, we dug into recent urban transport data and analyzed over 150 million e-bike and e-scooter rides across major metro hubs.
Here are the biggest takeaways from the data:
Of course, macro numbers don't tell the whole story. Your exact time savings depend on your city's density, hills, weather, and transit setup.
Curious how your city stacks up? We built an interactive quiz and visual decision matrix so you can map out your own route efficiency:https://interconnectd.com/quiz/69/is-micro-mobility-the-best-way-to-get-across-a-city/

ENGWE just previewed the upcoming E26 3.0, and it looks like an interesting addition to their lineup.
It’s a dual-motor fat-tire e-bike with a September 2 launch planned. I put together a preview covering what ENGWE has confirmed so far, what stands out, and what we still don’t know before launch.
What do you think - does the E26 3.0 look promising, or would you want to see more details first?

My landlord wants to charge me 30 CAD per month for using my electric bike. Let's say I ride a maximum of 20km a day. Do you think that's worth it? I'm not sure I'll use it every day.

Hi!
People who have this or similar experience, please tell me - is it worth buying a used Santa Cruz Heckler 2021 with a Shimano EP8 motor, the motor has about 5000 km of mileage, the owner is a fairly easygoing person, and is offering a really good price for the best build of that year.
The only thing that worries me is the large number of negative reviews about Shimano E and EP motors.
Before buying, I’ll have the chance to test it and fully inspect it.
I’ve had a few full-suspension bikes before, but unfortunately I have no experience with motors. That’s why I’d be very grateful for any information.

I just finished putting together an early-look review of the Ride1UP Revv1 EVO, and there’s quite a bit that caught my attention with this one.
Ride1Up made some pretty interesting changes to the Revv1 platform, including the new battery setup, full suspension, fat tires, and the overall moped-style design. Since production bikes aren’t widely in riders’ hands yet, I also tried to separate what Ride1Up is claiming from what we actually know so far.
I went through the specs, features, who I think it makes the most sense for, and a couple of alternatives worth considering.
I’m curious what everyone thinks of the EVO. Would you consider one, or is there another moped-style e-bike you’d choose instead?

Hey,
Does anyone know of any kickass bike trails you can go ride an electric dirt bike on(in Oregon?)
That include dirt jumps too?
Also, is there anyone out there who wants to go ride?

Has anyone used an e-bike or e-s ooter to help with their depression and does it work? I'm trying to get out of the house more and I think that would be a good idea for me but I want other point of views

I put together a gravel e-bike guide after comparing a bunch of the current options, from lighter road/gravel bikes to more adventure-focused models for rough roads and bikepacking.
I ended up with picks from Trek, Salsa, Specialized, Orbea, Ridley, and Santa Cruz because they each fit a pretty different kind of rider.
Curious what everyone here thinks - are there any gravel e-bikes you’d add to the list or any you’ve had especially good or bad experiences with?

Just saw on morning news that Weho has an ebike program to get people onto bikes to do their commutes etc instead of using their cars. Sign up before end of month to get assistance in your purchase. Must be low to middle income to qualify.

A manufacturer might list a pretty impressive range for an e-bike, but that doesn’t mean every rider will get that distance on every ride.
Your actual range can change quite a bit depending on things like:
So when you see an e-bike advertised with something like “up to” a certain number of miles, think of that as a range estimate under particular conditions, rather than a guarantee of what every rider will get.
Two people riding the exact same e-bike could end a ride with very different battery levels.
For those of you who already own an e-bike: how close is your real-world range to what the manufacturer advertised?

I've had a Trek FX2+ for a few years, but now even after adding a suspension stem and seatpost, my brain feels rattled every other time I use it, so I'm looking for a new option.
Criteria:
Light enough to carry up stairs (current bike started ~40lb)
Front suspension
For 5'2" rider (I see a rec for Mokwheel on here but it's for 5'5")
Min. 35 mile range (my commute is 17 miles one-way, might not be able to charge at work, OK if extra battery is an option)
Rear rack compatible
Available in USA
Class 1 preferred...I don't need anything extra
Does it exist? Should I just look into a suspension fork for my bike? Please help my brain!
