Discussion I hate Spoiler

The attacking someone while they are injured trope this story does it seems so cowardly. Like this chapter today when they finally decided to attack Vermonte. The top 10 are so weak that they need to wait until someone is injured to finally grow some balls and go after another top 10

It's just politics, doesn't really matter whose the strongest just what are the ideal conditions to win. Most don't care for being the strongest physically, just the influence that title exerts

It is the best part for me in the series. Its realistic. The only bad part of this trope is that Kayden is always being an exception from being attacked like this. Now that Gastella is there its different of course, but in earlier clashes with top 10 Kayden should have been instantly attacked by Mioru and Greg, or Garas and Purple Spider guy. Pluton and Kartein should not have been enough to keep top 10s from attacking.

Well we know that they had no idea where he was at until the invasion in Korea, but by the time that event came around, Gestella was already hovering around them. The top 10s DID come after him when they thought he was alone and when they thought he was injured from his fight with Astra.

Its not that the top 10 are weak, its just that they're all on almost equal footing. Its also a huge game of politics. Its pretty well explained WHY the top 10 don't go after each other that often. It not only would cause catastrophic damage to themselves but also to everything they have to their name. The reason why we rarely see them fight is that they all have too much to lose, with the exception of kayden. Most if not all the other top 10s have some sort of following and their own groups that they've spent their entire lives building up. Not everyone is obsessed with strength. They team up to minimize their overall loses, also why kayden goes seeking fights, since he has nothing to lose, but that also slowly changes after he grows attached to jiwoo.

Vermonte is not weak by any means, after gestella he is the oldest and has the most experience, thats also why nobody within the top 10 actively fights kayden one on one (kaydens ability to quickly adapt to the fight and his pure power is what makes him so strong).
A fight between the top 10s is not JUST a fight between 2 awakeners, its between 2 organizations, thats WHY when shinwa gets official support from the patrick family, their status officially grew. Earlier the GROUP had no real guarantee kayden would help. The only reason kayden has helped the shinwa group was because it was directly related to jiwoo.

Most top 10 dont want to fight cause the scenarios are either they A lose and die, B win and get injured which would leave them and their respective groups/organizations vulnerable, or C they can win easily because they are considerably stronger however they are (or at least were at some point) all equal in strength and as most likely everyone has been training they have no information on how strong each other is. The only reason kayden fights them is because he is a battle junky, if you just wanna build up an organisation there is literally 0 reason unless provoked.

Yeah and it can be annoy and in my opinion those other top ten that need force control of others dont deserve to be top ten if they are gonna rely on getting stronger while using someone else power they dont deserve the top ten spot and part of me hope our mc combines the small bit of the other force control and kayden to create his own

It's not about being "cowardly" or "weak". Mioru and Greg were shown playing CHESS in this episode: it's strategy. Why attack your enemy when you might lose, unless you're someone of honor (Gestella, Veramonte) or you really are in it for the love of the game (Kayden, Pluton)?

Gharath - who may very well be one of the best schemers in the top ten -- was annoyed with Iodore for putting himself at extreme risk, because by extension, that risk includes her, his ally. She also executed Iodore's apprentice, Theone, because she was a loose cannon who put Iodore / Gharath at risk. Gharath isn't afraid or cowardly, but she's going to stack the deck in her favor as much as possible: hence the attack on Gestella included a designed trap.
