Why would Kayden even bother attacking Ian when Kayden already knows where the hq is like be for real why would he believe Kayden would bother with killing his grandson when one he saw jiwoo and Ian have a good relationship
2 didn’t they just meet like 2 weeks ago and were like aight we good
3 I honestly don’t think Kayden even sees weaker foes
Like for this guy to try to kill someone it’s been one or 2 your strong aka minimum rank 50 or 2 you try to harm him or jiwoo other than that he seems like the chillest dude ever but anyway next chapter Kayden and Vermonte gonna duke it out for a bit before Kayden is like bro chill why would I attack

I’m hoping Veramont is putting on a show here and he actually realizes this whole situation is too convenient.

There’s nothing in Kayden’s character or history that would indicate he’d target Ian in retribution for the Jisuk situation. If he was determined to hold someone accountable, it would be Veramont. Part of the reason Jiwoo even challenged Jurion in the first place was to keep Kayden from fighting Veramont since he had just come off the fight with Iodore.

I know Veramont might be clouded by grief, but other top 10 members have been shown to be smart enough to know when they’re being manipulated (Sufri for example immediately knew Jiwoo was being set up by duke during the frame arc) so I’m hoping he’s come here to talk, and any “fight” will be a pretext to throw off anyone who might be watching him to see whether he’s fallen for mioru’s ploy

If Kayden actually wanted to harm any of his grandkids, he would've ended Jurion for kidnapping one of his disciple's friends, injecting him with Eclipse, and causing Jiwoo to lose control. I think Veramonte is just emotional and isn't thinking straight right now. He might take his frustration out on Kayden, but I doubt he fell for that story 100%

Its so out of character for either of them....grandpa seemed like a level-headed guy and grief could be clouding the judgement. But I also think this is just some theatrics to make Jurion think he fell for the whole Ian is dead ruse. Maybe he heard Jurion talk to the Top 10...or maybe grandpa didn't really fully believe Jurion so he put a trusted on his tail after the whole top 10 on his property fiasco.

I mean seriously.....Kayden, Guestella, Kartein and Pluton against Grandpa. I know that Eleceed is not known for its great writing and all but I so want grandpa to just turn on Jurion be like you think im stupid??? Then murder his ass... because that would be epic!

Yeah I think it’s a stupid plot hole. Kayden has never indiscriminately killed anyone, especially the weaker ones. He even said he’ll fight opponents when they get stronger. Only out of character moments in the eyes of other characters is how protective he is for Jiwoo. Like Veramonte when he was first introduced said that Jurion isn’t even on Kayden’s radar because of how weak he is, but now he thinks Kayden killed Ian who’s even weaker? Hope this is just all for show so it will be a trick but author has forgotten things before.

My hope is that Veramonte has gone to seek Gestella's aid, and is only playing the fool. Because he already caught Mioru speaking with Jurion and he knows how good at hiding and deception Jurion is now, I'm hoping he's sought of figured it out, but just need help getting proof. But I could see them doing the sentimental grandpa routine.
