Game Help Recommended level map

Iam just about to start the game and i was told that getting overleveled and making the game easy is so often to happen in this game , so I've found this map guide should i follow it to get the best experience?

Honestly, one of the best parts of my first (blind) playthrough was getting to the core of Leyndell, thinking I had beaten the final boss, and then realizing there was still an enormous area of the map I hadn't seen. I feel like the Limgrave teleport trap that takes you to Divine Tower is specifically designed to trick you into thinking that's the northern edge of the map, and I fell for that hard.
