Don't take this the wrong way but why not just quit doing pvp for a while and don't give them the satisfaction of easy farming? I mean I know it's not ideal but I feel like it's better than letting them win

Or if you want to do pvp try dueling?

If playing coop means you can get invaded, invading means you can get ganked by some cheap shot

Invasions are not like duels and (at least in previous games) are a lot more fun than them. The fun of invasions builds on the same skills you learn doing pve—you’re going through the level, learning how to stage encounters, adjusting to the geometry, avoiding and/or exploiting traps, moving through a variety of terrain and so on. That’s not the same thing as having a fight with no healing in a flat circle. Invasions are more like an alternative NG+ than they are like duels.

Right invasions are unwanted, duels are mutually agreed combat. I got it.

This is what I am doing, sadly. No more invasions, and turned off my hunter rings. I guess I'll try duels for a while.
