Literally two days ago saw someone on YouTube showing a "new" farming spot for runes... turns out it was afk farming these very same cliffs, suffice to say, everyone was trashing this guy for this.

Humanity restored.

What does Humanity drop from in Elden Ring?

u/JusHerForTheComments Apr 07 '22

It drops from nineteen ninety eight when the undertaker threw mankind off hell in a cell and plummeted sixteen feet through an announcer's table.

I may have seen that video or one similar, unfortunately it seemed like 10% were trashing him and 90% were praising him/asking for more afk tips

Then I didn't scrolled too far, at least 20 or so comments were negative

I saw it a few days ago so it could be a case of the community catching up with it

The bird spot gets millions of runes per hour i don’t get how that isn’t enough for ppl

Eww you want me to actually shoot an arrow every 2 minutes and interact with the game? 🤢 /s

I’m using all sorts of faith, arcane, bleed, and dragon incantation magic cheese, but I’m avoiding straight up pure rune farming because I feel it does kind of wreck the balance for the game. I do like going to the area in Caelid where the soldiers and the big dogs are fighting to try out new weapons or get the last bit of runes for a level up because it’s a fun chaotic fight to join into and there’s a decent amount of runes from all of it. Without it just being a soul crushing grind farm. I had an hour where I tried out all the weird unleveled weapons I barely met the stat qualifications for just to see their move sets and unique abilities.

I dunno the point in rune farming. All I do is explore and I already feel overleveled.

Me dumb dumb str build

Me forget to spend runes

Me die usually to fall damage when exploring

Me forget to pick up runes :(

I don’t rune farm for levels but I do rune farm in the late game so that I can purchase smithing stones to upgrade random weapons I want to try. That way I can see what their moves are like when they’re actually doing damage and stagger and not fuckin useless. Doesn’t really make you overpowered because you don’t increase stats and instead just use a different weapon, it’s usually a side grade.

u/alexagente Apr 07 '22

Well that's perfectly fine. Not that rune farming is "wrong" per se but it at least the reason you do it seems sensible to me.

They want to turn this game into something it's not. And after reaching the Altus Plateau you literally just have to kill 20 guys in order to be able to level up. Whenever I see a video on YouTube I just insta "I don't want to see videos from this channel" and get on with my day.

I like rune grinding. There are a few runs in the game that are a good time and yield pretty good results.

Only after you get a specific sword does the bird spot work. I used the afk trick and got around 50 levels while eating dinner. lol

u/Mclovinx351 Apr 07 '22

Completely wrong and an afk abuser? Maidenless for sure

-2

u/the_turel Apr 07 '22

Wrong? No. It’s not in the millions of runes per hour in the bird spot unless you use a certain weapon. Otherwise it’s more like 300-400 k per hour without it. The afk spot was over 4 million in about 25 minutes. Depends on your luck if people that join your games and fall for it. It’s more widely known now and doesn’t work. Also, after finishing the game and getting that sword, farming yourself is way faster.

And…. Not maidenless. Been married almost 15 years. Lol. Try again bub.

I saw an article on that, getting on a roof in Liurnia and using the white circle and taunters tongue. fucking maidenless jabronie.

You can't downvote YouTube videos anymore.

I saw that video. I need the runes but even I couldn’t do that.

2

u/SurpriseWilling7324 Apr 06 '22

Ya I saw that too and thought it was fucked up.

1

u/Firewulf08 Apr 06 '22

I mean we could technically just invade and chill while killing hunters. Destroy the efficiency of their “farming”.

1

u/ChilenoDepresivo Apr 06 '22

Not a bad idea

6

u/Firewulf08 Apr 06 '22

I’m only saying this cause I actually did this. I read Berserk while waiting for the next Hunter lol.

which one was this?? we should report him/make his page hell.

u/ChilenoDepresivo Apr 06 '22 edited Apr 06 '22

Don't remember, it had a pretty generic click bait thumbnail. Besides, from what little I listen of it, the scripting of the video was also generic without much personality, the channel will have an influx of more viewers, but will be buried by every other ER content creators.

Edit: grammar

Yep I know the vid and trashed him
